I'm not normally a wall sconce kind of girl but I really liked it. It wasn't terribly overpriced so I went ahead and bought it thinking it would look great in the dining room. And then I got home. I'm not sure where I thought I was going to put it since there is so little actual wall space in the dining room. I looked at my hubs with a puzzled look and said "I wish I could hang it in the corner."

Believe it or not, I've been refinishing furniture since I was about 10. Most weekends you could find me in the garage working on some family heirloom my mom had acquired. It was all good, though, because I really did enjoy it. And now, 27 years later, I can give you a few of my quick tips and things I've learned along the way.

Good morning and happy Friday! Today we are talking about "things." Everybody has a "thing" that they don't like, but usually have to deal with. For me, it is paper towel holders. I don't like looking at them. I know, it's silly, but it's my "thing".

Whether you have a stand alone range or a cooktop and wall ovens, there is no other appliance in the home that gets as dirty as the oven and stove. Unless you eat fast food for every meal, or live off of cereal, you've no doubt dealt with dirty burners and drips between your oven glass. Luckily, the internet is full of tips and tricks to get your oven and stove looking great again. 

Like the dishwasher, the washer and dryer are one of the most used appliances in our homes. They take those nasty workout clothes and food-covered kid's clothes and turn them back into the sparkling gems we bought at the store. After time, though, they begin to stink (washer) or take longer to dry our clothes. With a bit of cleaning, you can have them back in working order in no time.
